Starting Sunday May 27th, DEECEE’S ENTER THE DANCEHALL will be teaming up with STEPWISE (AUDIOPHARMACY PRESCRIPTIONS) to continue the Sunday reggae tradition that is Holding Firm! Same great music, same great vibe, just a bigger family! Biggup to the newest member of the Holding Firm crew — we’re more than happy to be bringing one of the Bay Area’s top reggae promoters onboard!

Some slight changes on the residential tip as well: From here on out I (Stepwise) will be holding down the resident DJ position solo. MUCH luv n respect going out to the other og HF residents! They’ll always be a part of the fam, and na fret, you’re still gonna be seeing them DJ on Sundays all the time!

Great news: Starting in October my DJ mixes are going to be aired on Sprint’s streaming cell phone radio service, called SPRINT RADIO. The mixes will be featured on the urban music channel FOCUSON THE DJ, which will stream reggae, dancehall, hip hop, and latin DJ mixes. Over 60,000 US subscribers are already onboard, and the channel will also soon be aired in Canada and Europe as well!

The channel airs 24 hours around the clock, with my mixes running every 4 hours (for a total of 6 times a day). Each mix will be cycled for 2-3 months at a time, after which it will be switched with another Stepwise mix.

Big tings! This will be a great way to get the music and the message to di masses, and a great way to bring exposure to all the great artists/labels featured on these my mixes. Maximum respect to Dustin @ Focuson for inviting me onboard!

Yes-I! I have just finished a new mixed CD for Organika Skateboards called FULL CONFIDENCE Vol 1, and it’s laaaarge! Hosted by VI’s gifted NiyoRah and mixed by yours truly, the mix is 80 minutes of purely conscious roots fiyah! Lots of great riddims on there, including unreleased tunes from NiyoRah, Pressure, Army and several others……

Biggup to Karl @ Organika for makin it happen, and to Ron @ 2Maro for the wicked graphic design… The mix will be hittin the streets on September 8th — just in time for the ASR skateboarding tradeshow. Stay tuned and link me to get a copy…
